Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has joined Amy Winehouse and Annie Lennox to become the latest celebrity to sign up to a hearing loss awareness campaign - posing for singer-turned-photographer Bryan Adams.

The star has been snapped for the Hear The World campaign, which has also seen Joss Stone and Moby hold their hands to their ears in striking campaign images.

Harry Belafonte is another celebrity who was keen to join the promotional drive as he has been affected by hearing loss for several years, insisting it is imperative that people are more aware of the condition.

He says, "Good hearing is extremely important. It has a lot of impact on personality. I noticed (when my hearing got worse) that my voice changed, and I had to speak more loudly.

"People thought that I was speaking more aggressively, and I didn't mean to be aggressive at all. I just think people should be very, very conscious and protective of their hearing."

Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton nearly came to blows at Timbaland's pre-Grammy party, reports say.

The pair were less than happy when they came face to face at the music producer's exclusive bash at LA's Avalon nightclub on Saturday night.

According to The Mirror, Lohan pointed at her rival, complaining: "What the hell is that b***h doing here? I didn't know she was on the list." Hilton promptly responded: "F*** off, you b***h."

An onlooker added that the former friends were hoping to convince Timbaland to collaborate with them in a bid to boost their music careers, saying: "Both saw the party as an ideal way of getting him on side - but they didn't count on the other being there."

Reformed party-animal Lindsay Lohan has pledged her support to troubled singers Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse by blaming the media for their public downfalls.

The Mean Girls actress - who spent last summer in rehab in Utah battling substance abuse - claims the pair will not be able to find stability in their lives all the while they are under the media spotlight.

She explains, "I think lots of people go through dark times, but it's even harder with everyone watching.

"It's a lot of pressure and I really feel for them, but I can't compare myself to them.

"Everyone is their own person and they will overcome it in their own ways."

Spears is currently being held at a Los Angeles hospital for psychiatric treatment while Winehouse is seeking help for drug addiction at a clinic in London.

Lindsay Lohan has sat for her first interview singer leaving rehab last year. The 21-year-old says the first step was getting rid of bad influences which proved to be difficult.

“There are friends that have been hard to hang out with because they’ve gone down a different path. But it’s hard because I’m the kind of person who wants to trust everybody,”

Lohan told the U.K.’s edition of Glamour magazine. Lohan says her day now consists of work, writing in her journal and watching TV.

“That’s not to say I’ll never go to a club again, because I’d be lying,” she added.

According to reports, Lohan has suffered two sobriety set backs since her rehab stint but it seems she is back on track now.
